First Thursday | Surfrider Foundation

The Portland Chapter of The Surfrider Foundation along with Wend Magazine are having a benefit art show for Surfrider's ongoing programs to benefit our oceans and the Ban the Bag campaign.

The show will feature various regional surf artists, music by the very talented, Jay Nash and lots of beer courtesy of Widmer Brothers Brewery. Come on down, grab a drink, peep some art, check out the live band, and show your support for Mother Ocean.

Live Music: Jay Nash
It's certainly refreshing to find an artist that refuses to simply dwell on the hard times, instead choosing to bask in the good and the great that life has to offer. At times almost jovial, Nash's charisma and buoyant attitude is infectious to the last with a sound capable of softening the sternest of hearts. There's no sign of an agenda here - Nash's spirited folk revival offers salvation for the masses.

Benefit: 15% of all event proceeds go to The Surfrider Foundation

Beer: Widmer Brothers Brewery

Bonus: 20% off all regular price merchandise from 7-10pm. (not to be combined with other offers)
